What is Hashimoto's Thyroiditis?
Hashimoto's Thyroiditis is one iteration of autoimmune
thyroid disease. An autoimmune disease occurs when
your body’s immune system gets out of wack and starts
redirecting your antibodies to attack your organs,
cells or even tissues – it’s supposed to protect you
by the way. In any case this autoimmune disease
manages to attack and destroy your thyroid gland. Now
we know the thyroid helps set the rate of metabolism
which is the rate at which the body efficiently uses
energy. Basically Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis prevents
your thyroid gland from producing enough thyroid
hormones for the body to work correctly.
Occurrence of autoimmune disease:
Unfortunately about 75% of autoimmune diseases occur
in women, most frequently during their childbearing
years.
Symptoms of Hashimoto's Thyroiditis:
While Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis might creep up on some
patients and some patients even report no symptoms,
some common symptoms have manifested over the years.
Some of the more common symptoms are fatigue,
depression, and sensitivity to cold, weight gain,
muscle weakness, coarsening of the skin, dry or
brittle hair, constipation, muscle cramps, increased
menstrual flow, and goiter which is an enlargement of
the thyroid gland.
Threatment:
Very Important: No medical claim is made on any
particular product. Dietary supplements are not a
substitute for treatment by your licensed medical
professional.
Traditionally Hashimoto's Thyroiditis can usually be
treated with thyroid hormone replacement. We have
however had some users of Mangosteen juice product
called XanGo report some powerful improvements. We
don’t make any representations, just presenting you
with an alternative to
consider.
